Alex's financial career started in 1982, when he worked on Wall Street for Morgan Stanley, one of the pre-eminent investment banks. Alex graduated with honors from Harvard University in 1981 and received an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management in 1986.

In his practice, emphasis is placed on providing the education and information that clients need to make intelligent decisions. Alex is an adjunct professor at UCLA Extension, where he teaches a course on Retirement Income Planning and has taught courses on Retirement Planning to aspiring Certified Financial Planners.

Alex has been quoted in professional and trade publications for his thoughts on retirement planning strategies. He is the principal author of retirement chapter for a book entitled Financial Planning for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals. The book has been through several editions and has been published by Harcourt Brace and Aspen Publishers.

Alex is an Investment Adviser Representative with Financial Network Investment Corporation. As one of the top financial professionals at Financial Network, Alex is a member of the Premier Client Division. As part of this membership, Alex receives additional resources to better serve his clients and shares cutting-edge strategies with other top financial professionals at their bi-annual meetings.

Alex has been happily married to Susan since 1988 and has twin children - a boy and a girl. The family enjoys exploring different parks, beaches and campsites. Alex also enjoys learning about the wonderful work of the local non-profits in the South Bay and serves on the Board of Christian Action for the Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes Estates.
